Error Code Cause
—
The unit is sending a
fax using Error Correction
Mode (ECM).
—
The handset of the
extension phone is off
hook.
—
You tried to make a color
copy in HIGH RES.
PAPER or COLOR
SNAPSHOT mode with
the installed Black BJ
cartridge.
—
You tried to make color
copies with the installed
Black BJ cartridge.
You tried to print a
received color fax with the
installed Black BJ
cartridge.
You tried to make a color
copy in PLAIN PAPER or
COLOR DRAFT mode
with the installed Black BJ
cartridge.
The unit is set to Fax/Tel
—
Mode and you are
receiving a voice call.
The extension telephone
connected through the
copier/fax has been lifted.
Action
ECM transmissions may
take longer than normal
transmissions. Turn off
ECM if you need to
transmit quickly, or if you
know your local lines are in
good condition. (1 ECM

Place the handset properly
in its cradle.
Remove the Black BJ
cartridge and install the
Color BJ cartridge.

Remove the Black BJ
cartridge and install the
Color BJ cartridge.

cartridge and install the
Color BJ cartridge

have this BJ cartridge
available, you can convert

and print the fax with the
