Intermediate housing removal

1. Remove the engine unit. See "Engine unit
removal" (5-7).
2. Remove the intermediate housing "1".
TIP:
If shims "2" are installed, remove the shims and
write down the position of each removed shim
so that it can be installed in its original position.

Intermediate housing disassembly

1. Remove the driven coupling "1".

2. Remove the intermediate drive shaft "1"
and thrust washer "2" using a press.
Do not press the intermediate drive shaft
directly.
