Electric trim switch check
1. Connect the YDIS to display "Trim up
switch" and "Trim down switch".
2. Push the electric trim switches "1" and "2".
3. Check that the following is displayed in the
"Engine monitor" window of the YDIS.

5. Measure the electric trim switch resis-

Cam position sensor check
1. Disconnect the cam position sensor cou-
pler "a".
2. Supply power to the ECM, and then mea-
sure the input voltage at the cam position
sensor coupler terminals (wire harness
end). Check the wire harness if out of
specification. Measure the cam position
sensor output voltage if within specifica-
tion.

3. Remove the cam position sensor. See
"Cylinder head cover" (5-31).
4. Connect the special service tool "1" to the
cam position sensor and wire harness.
