Turn in Distance "a" is increased.
Turn out Distance "b" is increased.
Distance "c"
8.0 mm (0.31 in) or more
5. Connect the steering cable joint to the ball
joint, and then tighten the locknut to the
specified torque.
Locknut
7 Nm (0.7 kgf·m, 5.2 ft·lb)
6. Check the difference of distances "a" and
"b" again.

7. Install the service lid.
