Vespa GTS 250 I.E.

Refitting the hub cover bearings

For the fitting of the hub box bearings the engine
crankcase and the cover must be heated with the
special heat gun.
- The three 15 mm bearings must be fitted using
the appropriate tools.
- The 42 mm side of the adapter must be turned
towards the bearing.

N.B.
TO FIT THE BEARING ON THE COVER, SUPPORT THE COVER WITH THE STUD BOLT SET.
- Refit the driven pulley shaft bearing with a mod-
ular punch as shown in the figure.
N.B.
IF THE BEARING HAS AN ASYMMETRICAL
BALL RETAINER, PLACE IT SO THAT THE
BALLS ARE VISIBLE FROM THE HUB INNER
SIDE.

N.B.
WHEN FITTING THE BEARINGS ON THE ENGINE CRANKCASE, SUPPORT THE CRANKCASE
PREFERABLY ON A SURFACE TO ALLOW THE BEARINGS TO BE DRIVEN VERTICALLY.
- Refit the seeger ring with the opening facing the bearing and fit a new oil guard flush with the crankcase
from the pulley side.
