Braking system

Measure the thickness of the brake pads. If one of the two falls under the serviceability limit,
replace them.
Serviceability limit 1.5 mm (0.05 in).
WARNING
IF THE BRAKE LEVER STARTS WITHOUT THE CALLIPER IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO CARRY
OUT THE CORRESPONDING BLEEDING.

Removal
NOTE
THE PAD DISASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURES FOR THE BRAKE CALLIPER ARE
THE SAME FOR BOTH THE A.J.P AND THE J.JUAN SYSTEM.
WARNING
IF THE BRAKE LEVER STARTS WITHOUT THE CALLIPER IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO CARRY
OUT BLEEDING.

Remove the rear brake calliper.
•
Press on the external pad in the direc-
tion of the arrow.
•
Remove the pads.
•
Check the pads.
•
Measure the thickness of the brake pads. If one of the two falls under the serviceability limit,
replace them.
Serviceability limit 1.5 mm (0.05 in).
