Problem
Media server
does not start
No video output
Images unstable
or showing bad
performance

Possible cause
The Master Power switch is not
ON.
The power supply is not connec-
ted to a valid power source.
EATX12V connector is loose or
disconnected from the mother-
board.
If EATX12V is not connected, the
system may repeatedly start and
stop, start and stop.
The DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter
may be incorrect.
The video cable may not be prop-
erly connected.
The display has not been enabled
by Windows.
The EDID does not match the at-
tached display.
The operating temperature is too
high.
The content is not properly en-
coded or has too many layers.
Appendix F: Trouble shooting
Remedy
Make sure that the Master Power
switch on the rear panel is ON.
Make sure power supply is connec-
ted to a valid power source.
Check motherboard for any power
indication or errors.
Make sure that the EATX12V con-
nector is firmly seated.
When handling power connec-
tions, remember to always follow
safety procedures. See Caution.
Be sure to use supplied active and
passive adapters in proper order.
See the notes to Table 2.1 in the
Box content (p.26) section of this
user guide.
Make sure cable is seated cor-
rectly, and the thumbscrews are
tight.
Enable the display in the Windows
screen setting.
Remove the previously used EDID
and verify that you can see the
Windows desktop. (See EDID
management (p.77).)
Operating ambient temperature
must be higher than 0°C (32°F)
and lower than 40°C (104°F).
Leave sufficient front and rear
clearance to ensure that airflow
through the chassis is not restric-
ted.
Be sure to encode content with X-
Agora Media Encoder.
Content is not properly encoded,
or it has toomany layers.
