Licensing
Barco Media Server boxes come pre-installed with Microsoft

Barco Media Server software is secured by the CodeMeter hardware and software licens-
ing solution from Wibu Systems. A local runtime application, CodeMeter Control Center
(also known as CodeMeter User Runtime) controls the licenses. An XHD-Series license
or an XDG-100 Designer license contains only the licenses needed to operate Barco
Media Server software. Barco Media Server software can be downloaded from the Barco
website. Go to http://www.barco.com/ → Products & Solutions → Image Processing →
Media Servers.

CodeMeter Control Center
The CodeMeter Control Center runtime application must run on each machine on which
Barco Media Server software is expected to run. CodeMeter Control Center is the local
management tool for hardware and software licenses, and it also plays a crucial part in
updating licenses remotely. CodeMeter Control Center is preinstalled on all Barco Media
Servers, and it is also part of the Barco Media Server software installer.
