Insert four new batteries of type alkaline AA 1.5 V.
Ensure that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
See the diagram inside the battery compartment. Do not use rechargeable
batteries.

Carefully replace the lid on the battery compartment.
Note
• When the battery change symbol
empty. Replace all batteries as soon as possible.
• When E-b is displayed, the batteries are so empty that no more measure-
ments are possible.

Basic settings

The measuring device must be switched off.
Press the Set button.
The year display flashes.

Setting the date and time.
Note
• You must set the date and time. Only if you do that can
you save your measured values correctly with the date
and time and later retrieve them.
• The time is displayed in 24-hour format.
