4 Using the unit for the first time and basic settings

4.1

Operating the unit with a mains power adapter

• You can also operate the unit with a mains power adapter. To do so, there
must not be any batteries in the battery compartment. The mains power adap-
ter is available at a specialist store or the service address using order number
071.17.
• The unit must be operated only with the mains power adapters specified here.
Connect the mains power adapter only to the mains voltage listed on the type
plate.
4.2

Inserting and replacing the batteries

Note
• Four batteries are included in the delivery scope of your blood pressure/ blood
sugar measuring device. The batteries are stored inside the carry case.

Remove the cover of the battery compartment on the underside of the unit.

When you perform a battery change, remove all batteries. The unit keeps the
date and time while you change the batteries. If the battery change lasts a
long time, reset the date and time (see "Basic settings", page 23).
