Hall IC Check

Check No.04
FLXS, FDXS Series
1. Check the connector connection.
2. With the power on, operation off, and the connector connected, check the following.
If NG in step 1
If NG in step 2
If OK in both steps 1 and 2

Indoor Electronic Expansion Valve Coil Check

Check No.06
Conduct the followings to check the indoor electronic expansion valve coil (EV).
1. Check to see if the EV connector is correctly connected to the PCB.
2. Turn the power off and on again, and check to see if the EV generate latching sound.
3. If the EV does not generate latching sound in the above step 2, disconnect the connector
4. Check the continuity between the pins 1 - 6, 2 - 6, 3 - 6, and 4 - 6. If there is no continuity
5. If the continuity is confirmed in the above step 3, the PCB is faulty.
Note:
Please note that the latching sound varies depending on the valve type.
Service Diagnosis
∗Output voltage of about 5 V between pins 1 and 3.
∗Generation of 3 pulses between pins 2 and 3 when the fan motor is operating.
Defective PCB
Defective Hall IC
and check the continuity using a tester.
between the pins, the EV coil is faulty.

Replace the PCB.
Replace the fan motor.
Replace the PCB.
