Disconnect each power cord from the server.

For tower models, place the server on a flat, level surface with the access panel facing up.

For rack models, extend the server from the rack (on page 28).

Remove the access panel

Remove the air baffle

Open the DIMM slot latches..
7.
Remove the DIMM.

To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.

Power down the server (on page 26).
