The correction curve for density processing varies depending on the following:

As indicated in Figure 3-343, either a dark or light curve will be selected to suit the settings of items
from a. through d.
If text mode is selected for item e., a curve that enables reproduction of dark text without risking fog-
ging will be seiected (Figure 3-344).
