14. Output modules

14.2 Relay-trigger modules

While V5 modules permit only one module (relay, trigger input, or analog out-
put) with just one function variant for all elements, the ALMEMO
have several V6 output modules connected and all elements can be individual-
ly configured in all their function variants. Old input and output cables (ZA
1000-EAK) can be reconfigured using the AMR-Control software to be compat-
ible with V6 functioning. The new relay trigger analog adapter ZA 8006-RTA3
(see Manual 5.1.2/3) offers up to 10 relays for driving peripheral equipment.
Or, instead of the relays, 2 trigger inputs and up to 4 analog outputs can also
be provided (see 14.3). These modules can be connected equally well to out-
put socket A2 or output socket A1 (2). To ensure that all elements are ad-
dressed, each of these sockets has been assigned 10 port addresses :

The individual elements of the output modules
can be selected in the main menu
and programmed in their functions as

follows (see Manual 6.10.9):
First select the port by pressing :
e.g. port 0 at socket A2 (port address 20):
The element concerned is recognized :
Relay type NO (normally open) :
Relay type NC (normally closed) :
Relay type (changeover):
The relay switching mode can be configured on the following variants;see 8.5 :
0: Alarm, if one channel of all is faulty
2: Alarm of a programmable channel
3: Alarm, if one limit value - max of all is overshot 3: Summated alarm - max
4: Alarm, if one limit value - min of all is undershot 4: Summated alarm - min
8: Relay driven via interface or keypad
Variant 2 ´Assigned internally´ also requires the assignment of relays to cer-
tain limit values; (see 12.12.2).
For the purposes of detecting power failure it is an advantage if relays are
driven on an inverted basis; without current an alarm status applies automati-
cally. The function variants are therefore also provided on an inverted basis.
Inverted relay control :
e.g. variant 2 inverted :
The activation mode and actual contact status resulting from relay type and
driving mode are displayed in the next line.
