GENERAL ENGINE PROCEDURES

Clutch engagement lever removal/refitting

Removal:
- Undo the screws (1) and slide the lever out upwards (2).

Installation:
- Manually turn the shaft (3) clockwise until reaching the limit.
- Keeping the shaft (3) in place, slide the lever (2) onto the shaft are release.
Check the lever (2) when at fill stroke to make sure that there is no
interference with the cover (4) of the clutch (see arrow).

Clutch disengagement shaft removal

- Remove the clutch cover as described in the relevant paragraph.
- Remove the retaining ring (1).
- Extract the clutch disengagement shaft (2) by pulling it out upwards.

Clutch disengagement shaft oil seal removal

- Protect the housing from damage using adhesive tape.
- Lift the oil seal (1) using a suitable tool.
