1. Move the cursor to the desired camera using the [D] or
[C] button.
2. Select ON or OFF with the JogDial, and press the
JogDial.
The default is ON.
ON: Live image of the channel is displayed.
OFF: Blackout image is displayed.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 until all channels are pro-
grammed, or press the [SETUP/ESC] button to return to
the SWITCHER SETUP menu,
Notes:
• Recording will be carried out regardless of this set-
ting.
• The recorded images of the channel will be played
back and displayed on the monitor even if OFF is
selected.
G Secret View Setup (SECRET VIEW
SETUP)
This will help to watch shoplifters without being recognized
in a store where, for example, cameras and spot monitors
are installed on the sales floors and a multiscreen monitor is
installed in a control room. The spot monitor will black out
its screen when the multi-screen monitor is switched to the
single live mode to focus on the potential shoplifter.
The default setting is OFF.
ON: Enables the secret view function.
OFF: Disables the secret view function.

G HDD Hour Meter (HDD HOUR METER)
The meter shows how many hours each hard disk has been
operated in playback, recording and idle. The built-in HDD
needs replacement when the hour meter reads around
30 000 H.
G HDD Capacity (HDD CAPACITY)
The total usable capacity of the built-in hard disk is indicat-
ed.
G Default (DEFAULT)
This enables the recorder to restore all setup data to the
default values.
1. Press the JogDial to move the cursor to DEFAULT.
2. When the cursor is on SET→, press the JogDial again.
3. Select YES or NO with the JogDial, and press the
JogDial.
The default is NO.
NO: Current setup data is retained.
YES: Current setup data is reset to the default values.
When all setup data are reset to the defaults, "SET
DONE" is displayed for a few seconds and then
changes to SET→.
Note: The recorder will restart when the network setup has
been changed and the menu is closed.
G System Version (SYSTEM VERSION)
This line displays the version number of the installed sys-
tem software. You will need the version number when
updating the software.
