Adjust the compression
stage by turning adjusting
ring 1.

If you want to increase the
compression stage, turn ad-
justing ring 1 in the H direc-
tion.
If you want to reduce the
compression stage, turn ad-
justing ring 1 in the S direc-
tion.
Compression stage,
basic setting, rear
Turn the adjusting screw
as far as possible clock-
wise, then 12 clicks coun-
terclockwise.

Tires

Checking tire pressure
Make sure ground is level
and firm and park the mo-
torcycle.
Incorrect tire pressure
results in poorer handing
characteristics of the motor-
cycle and reduces the life of
the tires.
Ensure proper tire pressure.
At high road speeds, tire
valves have a tendency
to open as a result of centrifu-
gal force.
Fit metal valve caps with rub-
ber seals and screw them
on firmly to prevent sudden
deflation.
Check tire pressures
against the data below.
Tire pressure, front
31.9 psi (2.2 bar) (Single
rider, with cold tire)
with OA Passenger footrest:
31.9 psi (2.2 bar) (Driver
with passenger and/or
load, with cold tire)
Tire pressure, rear
36.3 psi (2.5 bar) (Single
rider, with cold tire)
