3 Delivery and Preparation for Use

3.1 Storage
Thewheelchairmustbestoredinadryplace.
Theambienttemperaturemustbemaintainedbetween-10°Cand+40°Cduringtransporta-
tionandstorage.
Duringextendedstorage,thekneeleverwheellockonwheelchairswithPUtyresmustbere-
leasedsincetyredeformationmayotherwiseresult.
InfORMATIOn
Tyrescontainchemicalsubstancesthatcanreactwithotherchemicalsubstances(suchascleaning
agents,acids,etc.).
3.2 Preparation for Use
CAUTIOn
Risk of pinching.Onlygripthecomponentsshownwhenfoldingorcollapsingthewheelchair.
Yourwheelchairisusuallydeliveredfullyassembled,folded,andwiththerearwheelsremoved.
Afewsimplestepsaresufficienttoprepareitforuse:
1.Attachthewheels.Toattachtherearwheelsreachintothespokeswithfourfingersandpress
thebuttonofthequick-releaseaxlewithyourthumb(Fig.1).Thenattachtherearwheelsto
thefittingsandtheaxleswillautomaticallyengage.
2.Whilestandingnexttothewheelchair,tipitslightlytowardyou.Withflathands,pressthe
crossbraceapart.Makesurethatthecrossbracehaslockedinthesupportbrackets(Fig.2).
3.Pullthebackupholsteryflapupandattachittothewheelchair'sseatupholstery(hookand
loopconnection)(Fig.3).Inserttheseatcushion.
4.Ifapplicable,insertthefootrestsintothereceivers(Fig.4).Finally,folddownthefootplates.
