Uninstalling the modem with Windows® 95,
Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0
The process for removing your modem
from your computer differs whether
your operating system is Windows 95x
or Windows NT.
Windows 95 and Windows 98
Click Windows Start, point to

Settings and click Control Panel.
Double-click the System icon and

click the Device Manager tab.
Double click Modem followed by the
56K Voice Internal PCI.

Click on the Port Settings tab. and

click on Uninstall.
Click OK to remove the device and
4.
click on OK again to complete the
operation.
Shut down your system. Click Start.
5.
Click Shut Down. Click Yes.
When your computer is shut down,

turn it off.
Unplug the computer's power cord
7.
from the computer.
Remove the computer's cover.
