Crimping a BNC plug

1) Preparing the coaxial cable:
To slip the rubber cap onto the end to be crimped, it must first be prepared. Dip the
coaxial cable about 10 cm into metylated spirits (see fig. 2). Now slip on the rubber
cap about 10 cm and the crimping cover about 5 cm (see fig. 2). Next strip the cable
using a coaxial stripper as shown in (fig. 1).

2) Mounting and crimping a
C2 BNC plug

this
type
contact is already connected
to the plug housing.
b) Stick in the coaxial inner wire
all the way through. It will
connect automatically.
c) Pull
over
the
coaxial cable's covering (see
diagram 2)
d) Pull the crimping covering all the way over (see fig. 2) and crimp on. (Use the RS-59
for the BNC C3 and the RG-62 for the BNC C2).
e) Replace the rubber covering (fig. 3).

and crimp the two together.
b) Insert the crimped contact into
the plug housing. The contact
should click inside.
