Programming Control Sequences:
The required parameters are set according to the table above. Thereafter the positioning is
activated with the ESC X Y command. Parameters can be altered or a new positioning can be
called during the positioning process.
The following parameters are executed immediately during the positioning process:
•
Maximum terminal velocity (horizontal and vertical axle)
•
Maximum acceleration (horizontal and vertical axle)
•
Query horizontal / vertical position
•
Query zoom / focus position
•
Query horizontal / vertical speed
•
Query limit stops
•
Parameter reset ESC A
The following parameters are only carried out after activating a positioning process:
•
New position horizontal / vertical
•
New position zoom / focus
Timeout:
The activation of the positioning process includes the transmission of a "Timeout". This timeout
prevents that that the complete positioning process is carried out endlessly: e.g. the
transmission of a zoom or focus position outside the definition area would result in an endless
turning of the motors. The p/t head is automatically stopped after expiry of the timeout and the
'ESC PERR' command is transmitted. There's a linear correlation between parameter and
timeout time (0003 corresponds to approximately 5 seconds).
Positioning:
A new positioning process can also be carried out if the current positioning process isn't
completed. One can differentiate between three cases:
1.
The new target position is behind the old position.
For such a case the unit goes to the new position, if necessary with an added
acceleration in the same direction.
2.
The new target position is directly in front of the current position.
It is impossible for the p/t head to reach the new position within the limits of the defined
braking distance. For such a case a defined breaking process is initiated which goes
beyond the target. Afterwards the movement direction is inverted with a positioning
process to the target.
3.
The p/t head went beyond the new target position during the current positioning process.
The p/t head brakes and a new positioning process with inverted movement direction is
initiated.
