Removing, Replacing and Adjusting the Drive Belt

SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE, WAIT FOR ALL MOVING PARTS TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, REMOVE
SPARK PLUG WIRES, DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE, THEN WAIT 5 MINUTES BEFORE
PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE OR INSPECTION ON THE CHIPPER.

1. Remove the four Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat
Washers from the Belt Guard using a 1/2" Wre
(Figure 25).
2. Remove the Belt Guard.
