5. Place a S traightedge on the Belt (over the Clut
Sheave ) and push down on the Belt to measure the
deflectio n from the Straightedge to the Belt with a
tape measure (Figure 30).
6. The measurement should be approximately 3/8
7. Tighten or loosen the Adjusting Nut until the Belt is
prope rly tensioned.
8. When t he Belt is properly tensioned, tighten the four
Engine Bolts.
9. Reinstall the Belt Guard.
10. Reinstall t he four Bolts, Lockwashers and Flatwashers
using a 1/ 2" Wrench (Figure 25).
