Initializing Ports for Port Based 802.1x

Existing 802.1x port and MAC settings are displayed and can be configured using the window below.
Click Port Access Entity > PAE System Control > Initialize Port(s) to open the following window:
This window allows you to initialize a port or group of ports. The Initialize Port Table in the bottom half of the window
displays the current status of the port(s).
This window displays the following information:
Parameter

From and To
Port
MAC Address
Auth PAE State
Backend State
Port Status

Description
Choose the Switch ID number of the line card in the switch stack to be modified.
Select ports to be initialized.
A read only field indicating a port on the Switch.
The MAC address of the Switch connected to the corresponding port, if any.
The Authenticator PAE State will display one of the following: Initialize, Discon-
nected, Connecting, Authenticating, Authenticated, Aborting, Held, ForceAuth,
ForceUnauth, and N/A.
The Backend Authentication State will display one of the following: Request,
Response, Success, Fail, Timeout, Idle, Initialize, and N/A.
The status of the controlled port can be Authorized, Unauthorized, or N/A.
