Installing the 2104 Model DL1 into an RS/6000 Rack
CAUTION:
The stabilizer must be correctly attached to the bottom front of the rack to
prevent the rack from tipping forward while the 2104 disk enclosure is being
installed into the rack. Do not install or pull out any unit if the stabilizer is not
attached to the rack.
1. CAUTION:
A 2104 Model DL1 weighs up to 38.5 kg (85 lb) with disk drive modules
installed. Do not attempt to lift the 2104 disk enclosure into the rack unless all
the disk drive modules have been removed.
If you have not already done so, remove all the disk drive modules from the 2104
disk enclosure (see "Removing the Disk Drive Modules and Dummy Disk Drive
Modules" on page 8).
2. CAUTION:
Do not attempt to lift the 2104 disk enclosure by yourself. Ask another person
to help.
Stand at the front of the rack and, with help from another person, place the back of
the 2104 Model DL1 onto the support rails, then slide the 2104 disk enclosure into
the rack.
