Before Installation

First of all, we recommend you to read this document and examine the customer needs
thoroughly.
You should then prepare the Extended Communication Server installation considering the
following topics:
- Network architecture:
• LAN
• DMZ (Demilitarized Zone)
• Internet Access
- IP addressing plan, including:
• Local machines that need static addresses
• Dynamic assignment planning
- Information from the ISP (Internet Service Provider), such as IP addresses of the DNS
servers.
- Public domain name
- User management, including:
• User groups
• User accounts
• User access rights to services
• Delegated administrators, if any
- Security policy, including firewall and proxy management
