■ Saving with a different file name
You can change the file name when saving onto a card
or flash drive.
The file name can be up to 15 characters.
Example: Changing a file name to JA3YUA.
Displays the SETTING SAVE screen.

SET [F-7] SD/USB [F-7] SAVE [F-2]
Push [SD/USB](F).
w
• Pushing [SD/USB](F) toggles the file save destination
between the card and the flash drive.
Push [NAME](F).
e
• Enters the file name entry mode.
Push [DEL](F).

• Deletes the pre-entered name.
Edit the desired characters by rotating [MAIN DIAL]

or enter numbers by pushing keypad keys.
q When [ABC](≈) is selected, rotate [MAIN DIAL]
to select "J."
w Push [≈](F) to move the cursor.
e Rotate [MAIN DIAL] to select "A."
r Push [≈](F) to move the cursor.
t Push [123](≈), and then rotate [MAIN DIAL] to
select "3."
y Push [≈](F) to move the cursor.
u Push [ABC](≈), and then rotate [MAIN DIAL] to
select "Y."
i Push [≈](F) to move the cursor.
o Push [ABC](≈), and then rotate [MAIN DIAL] to
select "U."
!0 Push [≈](F) to move the cursor.
!1 Rotate [MAIN DIAL] to select "A."
• You can use a keyboard connected to the transceiver to
enter text or numbers.
Push [EXIT/SET].

• Returns to the SETTING SAVE screen.
Push [SAVE](F).

• Opens the confirmation window.
• To cancel loading, push [CANCEL](F).
Push [OK](F).

• Saves the data settings to the selected destination.
• While saving to the card, the indicator to the left of the
[SD CARD] slot lights.
• While saving to the flash drive, the indicator to the right
of the [SD CARD] slot lights.
• You can change the content to be saved in the SAVE
SET screen

• After saving, returns to the SD/USB-MEMORY SET
screen.
