There is adequate clearance around the air exhaust vents
for ventilation.
The rack/workbench/tabletop has a good ventilation system.
The rack/workbench/tabletop is firm enough to support the
device and its accessories.
The rack/workbench/tabletop is well earthed.

2.2 Safety Precautions

Be sure that you observe all safety precautions when you install
your device and pay special attention to the following icons:
Warning appears in operations that, if performed
incorrectly, might cause bodily injury or equipment damage.
Caution means care must be taken in these operations
during installation and use. Incorrect operations may result in
abnormal running of the device.
Observe these safety precautions when installing and using the
VG 31-08:
Keep the device far away from any heat source.
Make sure that the device is connected to earth ground.
Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap when installing and
maintaining the device, and ensure that the strap is in good
contact with your skin.
Do not hot-swap any cable.
Correctly connect interface cables. Be careful not to
misconnect the telephone cable to the Ethernet interface.
