Removing the Chassis Cover

For some maintenance tasks, you will need to remove the chassis cover. To do so, use the
following procedure.
1. Grasp the two handles on the sides of the server and pull the unit straight out until it locks.
When it locks, you will hear a click.
2. Depress the two buttons on the top of the chassis to release the top cover and, at the same
time, push the cover away from you until it stops.
3. Lift the top cover from the chassis to gain full access to the inside of the server.
Caution: Except for short periods of time, do not operate the server without the cover in place.
The chassis cover must be in place to allow proper airflow and prevent overheating.
