Quick Startup Guide
SETTING UP THE IDSL LINE
The Express L128FP works over leased or "dry" copper provided by
the local telephone company. See Specifications on page 4-1 for specifi-
cations on maximum distance.
1.
Connect a VT 100 async terminal, or personal computer with a
terminal emulator running 9600 N-8-1, to the MAINTENANCE
port.

Hold down the

Set the rate of transfer that will be used. Both devices must be set
at the same rate.

panel. See Connector Pinouts on page D-1 for connector pinouts.

When the Loop LED(s) remain solid, the Express L128FP is in
synchronization.

The Link LED will illuminate to indicate that PPP has success-
fully negotiated.
