Emerald ICE Corless Handset Quick Start Guide

Sleeping Mode Status

For power saving purposes, the handset will enter sleeping

mode automatically when there is no special event in the sys-

tem. Row-3 of the LCD will display a handset extension number

for the user's reference. Row-2 will be blank, to extend standby

time.

The user can press any key to "wake up" the unit. If the handset

receives any special information from the Base Unit, it will also

wake up automatically.

Note:

If the handset in sleeping mode, the LED will not be turned on.

If a user presses and holds the [Flash] key for 2 seconds, the

handset will be in key locked/unlock mode.

When a handset is in the key unlocked mode (normal mode)

and long keypress [Flash], the unit will enter the lock mode

automatically. The LCD will display a 3-second display as fol-

lows to indicate how to unlock the mode:
