Honeywell recommends that you apply power to the Rapid Eye DVR through an
uninterruptible power supply (UPS). For more information, see
Caution
In Europe, a UPS is required to meet EN50130-4 Euro Norm.
Whether you plan to operate the DVR onsite (using LocalView) or remotely (using View
software through a network connection), you need to do basic DVR configuration with
LocalView.
Note
For remote operations using only a dial-up connection, you do not need to
configure the connection with LocalView.
