ADJUSTING THE SHIFT PEDAL
1. Check:
• shift pedal position (distance a from the top
of the rider footrest to the top of the shift
pedal)
Out of specification
Shift pedal position
(below the top of the rider footrest)
45 mm
2. Adjust:
• shift pedal position
a. Loosen both locknuts 1.
b. Turn the shift rod 2 in direction b or c to
obtain the correct shift pedal position.
Direction b
Shift pedal is raised.
Direction c
Shift pedal is lowered.

CHECKING THE FINAL DRIVE OIL LEVEL
1. Stand the motorcycle on a level surface.
NOTE:
• Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand.
• Make sure that the motorcycle is upright.
2. Remove:
• final drive housing oil filler bolt 1
3. Check:
• final drive oil level
The final drive oil level should be to the bot-
tom brim 2 of the filler hole.
Below the bottom brim
mended final drive oil to the proper level.
