Troubleshooting

Some malfunctions can be resolved without outside intervention. The following
table provides a list of such malfunctions. All other malfunctions should be re-
ported to the relevant service personnel.
Error
No display.
You cannot dial an ex-
ternal number.
No reaction to key-
stroke.
De-crescendo tone se-
quence during input.
The line "Base n" flash-
es (n= 1 - 4).
No ringer on the
handset.
The following, for exam-
ple, appears:

Outgoing and incoming
calls and activation/de-
activation are not possi-
ble.

The handset is not

Appendix
Remedy
Press the On-hook key un-
til confirmation is received.
Charge or replace the bat-
teries.
Unlock the handset.
Press the hash key until
confirmation is received.
Release the key.
Repeat key sequence
while watching the display;
where applicable, consult
the operating instructions.
Come closer to the base
radio range, change your
position.
Register the handset.
Switch off the handset and
switch it back on again.
Activate ringer.
Deactivate "Do Not Dis-
turb".
Remove the batteries from
the handset and then re-in-
sert them. Proceed as
when loading batteries for
first time Page 14.

