User Codes

User Codes (P Codes) displayed in the ratio window indicate machine
conditions that the user can quickly and easily correct. In most cases,
P Codes simply require returning the machine to its original ready-to-
copy state.

SOLUTION
Add toner.
Close front door of main body.
Close ADF paper access.
Open ADF and remove original from platen
glass.
Firmly close ADF.
Remove original and place it correctly on ADF.
Close sorter cover properly.
Connect sorter to main body properly.
The number of sheets per bin exceeds the
staple capacity. Remove sheets from bins.
The number of sheets in sorter bins exceeds
bin capacity. Remove sheets from bins.
Paper remains in the sorter bins; or paper
remains after stapling. Remove paper from
bins.
The staple cartridge is empty. Replace the new
staple cartridge.
The copy size except 11"x17" and 8.5"x11" is
selected in the Automatic In-Bin Stapling.
Select 11"x17" or 8.5"x11" by pressing
, or release the Automatic In-Bin stapling

The stapler unit is not installed completely.
Install the stapler unit securely.
