MESSAGE CENTER
1 COPIER DIAGRAM represents all areas of the copier with illuminated displays
to indicate mishandled paper locations and empty paper trays.
2 RELOAD ORIGINALS indicates the number of originals to reload in the
document feeder after mishandled paper occurs when copying from the ADF.
3 BYPASS INDICATOR flashes when the bypass tray is open, and lights steady
when tray is open and paper is placed in it.
4 PAPER TRAY INDICATORS light the paper source selected and flash when a
paper tray is empty.
5 ADD PAPER lights when a paper tray is empty.
6 CHECK PAPER PATH INDICATOR flashes when a paper tray is empty.
7 ADD TONER lights when toner supply is low.
8 CALL FOR PM lights when preventive maintenance is approaching, and
flashes when it is due.
9 GROUP lights to indicate Group mode is selected.
10 STAPLE lights to indicate Staple-Sort mode is selected when the In-Bin
Stapler Sorter (ST-104) is installed.
11 SORT lights to indicate Sort mode is selected.
12 SORTER button selects Staple-Sort, Group, Sort, and Non-Sort modes. Non-
Sort functions when light is off.
13 SHIFT/REDUCE & SHIFT creates a margin and reduces the image to prevent
image loss.
14 ERASURE (Fold/Frame) erases the center strip and/or border image.
15 MIXED ORIGINAL copies 8.5"x11" with 11"x17" originals or 8.5"x14" with
8.5"x11"R originals from the ADF.
16 BOOK COPY produces two 8.5"x11" copies (dual pages) from an opened book
or large original sheet.
17 OHP INTERLEAVE inserts an OHP transparency copy with each blank plain
paper.
