The   H ome   M enu  
Omnia.9's   H ome   M enu   i s   t he   h ighest   l evel   m enu   a vailable   i n   t he   u ser   i nterface.     F rom   h ere,   y ou   c an  
configure   a nd   r oute   I nput   s ource   a udio,   a ccess   t he   U ndo   m enus   a nd   c ontrols,   a ccess   t he   c ontrols   o f  
the   various   processing   cores,   configure   the   Monitor   Outputs,   and   access   system   settings   including  
Input   a nd   O utput   o ptions.  
System   M enu  
The   System   Menu   contains   sub-­‐menus   for   System   Status,   I/O   Options,   Omnia.9's   built-­‐in   File  
Recorder,   T ime   a nd   D ate   s ettings,   a nd   S ystem   C onfiguration.  
System   S tatus   M enu  
The  System  Status  menu  is  divided  into  two  sections  –  System  Information  and  Audio  I/O  Status.  
The   S ystem   I nformation   p ortion   s hows   i nformation   a bout   O mnia.9's   o peration,   i ncluding   C PU   l oad,  
Software   and   GUI   version,   and   the   Host   Name,   IP   Address,   and   MAC   address   of   your   unit.       The  
Audio   I/O   Status   section   shows   the   current   system   sample   rate   as   well   as   detailed   information  
about   a udio   i nput   a nd   o utput   c onfigurations.    
I/O   O ptions   M enu  
The   I/O   Options   menu   has   three   sub-­‐menus   –   Input   Options,   Output   Options,   and   MPX   Output  
Optionsthat  allow  you  to  decide  which  of  Omnia.9's  physical  inputs  get  routed  to  the  three  internal  
audio   i nputs,   a nd   i n   t urn,   w hich   o f   t hose   t hree   a udio   p aths   f eed   t he   v arious   p rocessing   c ores.  
The   I nput   O ptions   m enu   i s   w here   y ou   c hoose   w hich   p hysical   r ear   p anel   i nput   ( Analog,   M ain  
Digital,   AES   Reference,   Aux   Digital)   feeds   each   of   Omnia.9's   three   audio   input   paths.     You  
may  also  select  a  secondary  input  source  to  be  used  in  the  event  you  lose  audio  from  the  
primary   s ource.    
 
Once  those  paths  are  established,  you  can  choose  which  of  those  three  inputs  feed  each  of  
the   processing   cores.     Depending   upon   configuration,   this   includes   FM,   HD-­‐1,   HD-­‐2,   HD-­‐3,  
three   s treams,   a nd   t he   S tudio   P rocessing   c ore.  
 
The   O utput   O ptions   m enu   p rovides   A ES/EBU   a udio   o utput   o ptions   i ncluding   F M   P re-­‐
emphasized   L /R,   F M   D e-­‐emphasized   L /R,   H D-­‐1,   H D-­‐2,   H D-­‐3,   H eadphone   O ut,   a nd   S peaker  
Out.     ( Note:    
F M De-emphasized L/R is suitable for monitoring only. Feeding to a stereo
generator which provides pre-emphasis will work, but it WILL cause overshoots and you
WILL lose loudness. The Omnia.9 should be the ONLY device providing the FM Pre-
Emphasis. Any pre-emphasis in the FM Exciter/Transmitter should be defeated).

MPX   stereo   generator,   including   those   for   the   MPX1   and   MPX2   Output   Levels,   output
