Processing   C ores   M enu  
The  Processing  Cores  menu  allows  you  to  choose  the  type  and  number  of  FM,  HD,  and  streaming  
processing   cores   available,   and   provides   controls   to   enable   the   studio   processing   core,   the  
composite   i nputs,   a nd   a n   a dditional   a uxiliary   m onitor   o utput.  
The   F M   p ull-­‐down   m enu   a llows   y ou   t o   e nable   a   p rocessing   c ore   f or   t he   F M   M PX   ( composite)  
output,  L/R  output,  or  both.    Note  that  if  both  MPX  and  L/R  cores  are  in  use,  "Undo"  will  be  
available   o n   I nputs   1   a nd   2 ,   b ut   n ot   o n   I nput   3 .      
The   H D   C ores   m enu   l ets   y ou   c hoose   h ow   m any   H D   p rocessing   c ores   a re   a vailable.  
The  Streaming   C ores  menu  allows   y ou  to  choose  how   m any  streaming  processing  cores  are  
available.      
The   Aux   Monitor   Output     is   a   third   speaker   controller,   similar   to   the   Speaker   and  
Headphone   Outputs,   which   can   be   used   to   route   audio   to   another   studio   or   area   of   the  
station.     Because   it   is   fully   route-­‐able   and   can   provide   audio   from   many   different   patch  
points   w ithin   O mnia.9,   y ou   c an   a lso   u se   i t   t o   f eed   a udio   t o   a nother   p rocessor.     A lternately,   i f  
you     e ver   f ind   y ou   n eed   t o   p rovide   d e-­‐emphasized   a udio   t o   a   t ransmitter,   t hat   c an   b e   d one,  
too   –   just   remember   to   use   the   L/R   clipper   instead   of   the   MPX   clipper   when   selecting   a  
patch   p oint.  
Note  that  "Undo"  will  be  available  only  on  Inputs  1  and  2  if  you  enable  the  processing  cores  
for   a ll   t hree   H D   a nd   s treaming   a udio   p aths   s imultaneously.       H owever,   " Undo"   i s   a vailable   o n  
all   three   inputs   if   you   disable   all   three   HD   processing   cores   OR   disable   all   three   streaming  
cores.  
Streaming   E ncoders   M enu  
The  Streaming  Encoders  menu  allows  you  to  select  the  maximum  number  of  each  type  of  encoder  
available   ( AAC,   M P3,   W MA,   M P2,   a nd   V orbis).      
Selecting   t he   A pply   C onfig   b utton   w ill   p laces   a ny   c hanges   y ou   h ave   m ade   i nto   e ffect.      
This   will   take   your   station   off   the   air   and   disconnect   all   streams   for   approximately   15  
seconds.  
Password   M enu  
The   P assword   m enu   a llows   y ou   t o   p assword   p rotect   y our   O mnia.9.      
Selecting  the  Enter  Password  field  brings  up  the  on-­‐screen  keyboard  for  entering  a  system  
password,   w hich   m ust   b e   e ntered   a gain   i n   t he   R epeat   P assword   f ield   f or   v erification.      
To   lock   the   front   panel   touchscreen,   select   the   Menu   button   on   the   Home   Screen   and  
choose   Lock   Front   Panel.     To   clear   the   passwords,   leave   both   the   Enter   Password   and  
Repeat   P assword   f ields   e mpty   a nd   s elect   C lear   P assword.
