Access Point is slow to respond

If the Access Point takes a long time to become available, check the
following items:
1. Make sure the DHCP server is set up to allocate IP Addresses
dynamically. In the Access Point, the default IP Address Assignment
mode is dynamic (DHCP).
a.
To find the current IP Address using DHCP, check the IP Client
Table in the DHCP Server. Match the AP-2000 MAC Address in the
table to the one on your unit.
b.
If you do not have a DHCP server on your network, the default static
IP Address is 10.0.0.1.
2. Or use ScanTool to locate the current AP-2000 IP Address. Once
you have the current IP Address, use the HTTP or CLI Interface to either
set the unit to DHCP mode or assign a static IP Address.
3. If you use static IP Address assignments, and cannot access the unit
over Ethernet, use the
CLI" procedure in this guide.
a.
Verify that the static IP Address assigned to the Access Point is not
a duplicate within the network. Power down the AP-2000 and ping
the IP Address.
b.
If the ping is successful, there is a duplicate IP Address on your
network.
4. Perform the Reset To Factory Default procedure in this guide. This will
reset the unit to DHCP mode. If there is a DHCP Server on the same
subnet, the DHCP Server will assign an IP Address to the AP-2000.
