Basic Setup and Configuration Problems

Lost AP-2000, Telnet, or SNMP password

1. Perform the Reset To Factory Default procedure described in this guide.
This procedure resets system and network parameters, but does not
affect the AP-2000 Image. The default AP-2000 password is "public",
and the default Telnet password is also "public".
2. Document your password(s) in the form provided in the "Documenting
your Configuration" section in the AP-2000 User's Guide.

Client cannot connect

The client station cannot associate with the Access Point. Check the
following:
1. Confirm the Network Name of the Access Point using the HTTP (web)
Interface or the CLI.
2. Make sure the active Network Name on the client machine matches the
AP-2000 Network Name. Each PC Card should have a unique Network
Name.
3. The Client Manager software allows you to store Network Names in
configuration profiles. Make sure you are using the correct profile for
your location.
Network Names are usually allocated and maintained by your network
administrator.
