FRONT ARM
Disassembling
1. Remove the cap screw securing the upper
shock absorber eyelet to the front arm. Pull the
shock eyelet free of the bracket.

2. Remove the upper cap screw, washers, and
lock nut securing each limiter strap to the front
arm.

3. Remove the cap screws and washers securing
the outer idler wheels and slide the idler wheels
from shaft.

4. Remove the two cap screws and lock nuts
securing the front arm to the slide rail brackets.
5. Remove the front arm and account for the
axles.
Inspecting
NOTE: Whenever a part is worn exces­
sively, cracked, defective, or damaged in
any way, replacement is necessary.
1. Inspect all front arm weldments for cracks or
unusual bends.
2. Closely inspect all tubing (square and round)
for cracks or unusual bends.
3. Inspect the bushings and axles for wear or
damage.
4. Check the upper and lower track bumpers. If
worn, remove the rivets securing the bumpers
to the arm and replace with new bumpers.
