10. Appendix A – Firmware Upgrade Process for MI-WAVE3D
10.1.
Prerequisites for Upgrading Firmware
1. Access the MasterImage ftp site using these
credentials:
ftp://masterimage3d.us
Login: mi3dguest1
Password: M!3DuploadASIA
2. From the MI-WAVE3D folder, download and
install the virtual COM port driver to suit your
operating system (32 bit or 64 bit).
3. Download and install the MI-WAVE3D
firmware upgrading utility.
Installed shortcut: MIDfu
4. Download and save the latest STM firmware
file having a "*.bin" file extension.
Example:
MI-WAVE3D_v1.1.1_20121119.bin
5. Prepare a USB "type-A" to "mini type-B"
cable.
10.2.
Upgrade Firmware
1. Connect the MI-WAVE3D control box
AC power adaptor and wait for the
power-on screen to be in the READY
state.
2. Connect the MI-WAVE3D control box to your PC with the USB cable.
