CYLINDER HEADIVALVE
CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY
N O T E
Replace the valve stem seals when
disassembling.
Lubricate each valve stem w i t h o i l and insert
the valve into the valve guide.
Install the valve springs and retainers.
N O T E
lnstall the valve springs w i t h the tightly
wound coils facing the cylinder head.
lnstall the valve keepers.
T o prevent loss o f tension do n o t com.
press the valve spring more than
Tap the valve stems gently w i t h a soft ham-
mer t o f i r m l y seat t h e keepers.
NOTE
I
Support the cylinder head above the

work bench surface t o prevent possible
valve damage.
