Use this command to set the MPPP EPD attribute. MPPP EPD at-

tribute distinguishes the link negotiation which belongs to the dif-
ferent MPPP sub-links. Cancel the settings with the no form of this
command.

This option applies to negotiation on low-speed links (such as
asynchronous serial dial-up interface) only. When it is applied
to high-speed interfaces, packets must also be transmitted in
non-compressed format, otherwise there may be errors.
When these options are negotiated, the current interface is
ready to transmit both compressed and non-compressed pack-
ets.
