TheLabelTakenSensor(LTS)isaphotoelectricsensorthat
enablestheprinter'sfirmwaretodetectifthelatestprintedlabel,
ticket,tag,etc.hasbeenremovedbeforeprintinganothercopy.
TheLTScannotbeusedinconnectionwithapapercutter.
Thisguidefacilitatesmedialoadfromanexternalsupplytothe
rearoftheprinterandprovidessuperiorguidingofthemedia.It
cannotbeusedinconnectionwithpeel-off(self-strip)operation
andcannotbecombinedwithalabelslackabsorber,whichmay
restrictthemaximumprintspeedsomewhat.
Ifthemediaisvaluableorsensitive,suchastickets,youcan
installasidedoorthatcanbelockedwithakey.Canbeinstalled
bytheoperator.
Asstandard,theprinterisfittedwithan8dots/mm(203.2dots/
in)thermalprinthead.Thereisalsoanoptionalprintheadfor
170-220μm(6.6-8.7mils)mediathickness.Theprintheadcan
easilybereplacedorexchangedbytheoperatorasdescribedin
Chapter11.
Anumberofinterfaceboardsareavailableforusewiththe
EasyCoderPM4iprinter.Theinterfaceboardsareeitherfactory-
fittedorcaneasilybefittedbyanauthorizedservicetechnician.
TheEasyCoderPM4icanaccommodateoneEasyLANinterface
boardplusoneIEEE1284ParallelInterfaceBoard.
