Thepressureofthethermalprintheadagainstthedirectthermal
mediaisfactory-adjusted.However,theuseofthickerorthinner
mediathannormalcouldrequiretheprintheadpressuretobe
readjusted.
Usingastraight-slotscrewdriver,turntheadjustmentscrew
clockwiseformorepressure(+)orcounterclockwiseforless
pressure(-).Printafewlabels,preferablytestlabels(see"Setting
UpthePrinter"onpage47)andchecktheprintout.Increased
pressuregenerallygivesadarkerprintoutandviceversa.Repeat
untilthedesiredresultisobtained.
Toreturntothefactorysetting,tightenthescrew(+)asfarasit
goesandthenloosenit(-)fourfullturns.
Donotuseahigherprintheadpressurethannecessary,
becauseitmayincreasethewearoftheprintheadandshorten
itslife.
