TheEasyCoderPM4icanprintonlabels,tickets,tags,and
continuousstockinvariousforms.Thissectiondescribesthecase
whenthemediasupplyisplacedbehindtheprinter,usuallyin
theformoffanfoldedticketsortags.Externalsupplycanbeused
withtear-off(straight-through)andcut-offprinting.
Althoughitispossibletosimplyfeedthemediathroughthehole
intherearpartofthesidedooranddirectlytotheprint
mechanism,westronglyrecommendusingaprinterfittedwitha
specialfanfoldguideasillustratedbelow.Notonlydoesitmake
medialoadingmucheasier,butitalsoguidesthemediawith
greataccuracy.Thefanfoldguidecanbeadjustedforvarious
mediawidthsdownto40mm(1.57in).
Whenusinganexternalmediasupply,takecaretoprotectthe
mediafromdust,dirtorotherforeignparticles,thatcanimpair
theprintoutqualityorcauseunnecessaryweartotheprinthead.
Dependingonbrandandquality,alldirectthermalmediaare
moreorlesssensitivetoheat,directsunlight,moisture,oil,
plasticizers,fat,andothersubstances.Protectthemedia
accordingly.
