Ribbon Break Shaft
EasyCoder PM4i Printer User's Guide (IPL Version)
Ifribbonwrinklingoccurs,youmayneedtoadjustthealignment
ofthefrontribbonbreakshaftsothatitrunsparalleltothe
printheadandtheribbonsupplyandrewindhubs.The
adjustmentisdoneusingastraightslotscrewthatislocated
immediatelybehindthefrontribbonbreakshaft.
·Iftheribbontendstoslideoutwards,turnthescrewcarefully
clockwise(fw)tomovetheouterendofthebreakshaft
forward.
·Iftheribbontendstoslideinwards,turnthescrewcarefully
counterclockwise(bw)tomovetheouterendofthebreak
shaftbackward.
Beforereadjustingthebreakshaft,makesurethatthereisno
othercauseforthewrinklingoftheribbon.(See
"Troubleshooting"onpage71.)
