Thelabelstop/blackmarksensor(LSS)isaphotoelectricsensor
thatcontrolstheprinter'smediafeedbydetectinggapsbetween
labels,orslotsorblackmarksincontinuousstock,dependingon
theprinter'ssetupinregardofmediatype(Forhelp,see"Setting
UpthePrinter"onpage47.)Anobviousprerequisiteisthatthe
LSSmustbealignedwiththegaps,slots,orblackmarks.Ifusing-
irregularlyshapedlabels,aligntheLSSwiththefronttipsofthe
labels.
TheLSScanbemovedlaterallyfromtheinneredgeofthemedia
pathand57mm(2.24in)outwards,whichcorrespondstothe
centerlineoffullwidthmedia.Thereisonepartofthesensoron
topoftheuppermediaguideandanotherpartunderneaththe
lowerguide.Usingastraight-slotscrewdriver,turnthe
adjustmentscrewuntilthepointofdetectionontheuppersensor
becomesalignedwiththecenteroftheslotsormarksinthe
media,whenyoulookintotheprintmechanismfromthefront
withtheprintheadlifted.
·Rotatethescrewclockwisetomovethesensortowardsthe
centersection.
·Rotatethescrewcounterclockwisetomovethesensor
outwards,awayfromthecentersection.
IntheTest/ServicepartoftheSetupMode,youcantestthelabel
stopsensorifyouhaveadetectionproblem.
