10.3.10. USB Configuration
This field allows you to select options for USB configuration.
Legacy USB Support
10.3.10.1.
This function enables or disables support for legacy USB. Enabling legacy USB support allows using USB devices under
DOS and other non-Plug & Play operating systems.
Possible settings are: Enabled, Disabled and Auto.
If "Auto" is set, the system searches for USB devices. Whether no device is detected, the BIOS disable this option in
background.
USB 2.0 Controller Mode
10.3.10.2.
The [USB 2.0 Controller Mode] option is available only if the option [Legacy USB Support] is set to
Enabled or Auto.
This option allows you to set the data signaling rate for the USB 2.0 controller.
Possible settings are: FullSpeed and HiSpeed.
HiSpeed
This setting allows data signaling rate of 480 Mbps.
FullSpeed
This setting allows data signaling rate of 12 Mbps.
BIOS EHCI Hand-Off
10.3.10.3.
The [BIOS EHCI Hand-Off)] option is available only if the option [Legacy USB Support] is set to Enabled
or Auto.
This option allows you to enable support for operating systems without "EHCI Hand-Off" features.
Possible settings are: Enabled and Disabled.
